"My name is Ann Perry Wallace Wallace. I'm a writer and an actor and several years ago, I had taken time some time away from acting to raise my children. They are 9, 15 and 16.
And a few years ago, I started to dip my toe back into the water to see what writing would feel like for me and what acting would feel like for me. I was coming back to the business with a lot of trepidation. My age, my weight, my ability. I don't have a degree in writing. I'm not up to date with what is acceptable. So a lot of self esteem and confidence issues. So when I met april, I came with a lot of fears. April has this wonderful brand of tough love that is perfect for a grown woman. ---------- Her DreamingOutLoud Technique is perfect for writers. **It allowed me to realize I have value, I do have a voice, I do have something to say.** In July I will have the first run of my one woman play. Due in large part to April's help and expertise. She has years of experience, years of credits that she brings to the table to help you bring out what's already there. But it needs refining, it needs direction. Some of my most intriguing, delightful funny pieces came as a direct result of working with April. I would not have those in my play if it were not for her. As a result of working with her, I have really grown, really grown as a writer. As someone who is just empowered to create her own work. I'm not sitting around waiting for someone and saying: "Please call me please call me" I'm in a market where I'm not getting many phone calls. So **it's really been empowering to produce my own work and know that I have value.** That's what 's going to happen in In the DreamingOutLoud class for writers. I encourage you to invest in yourself. As a wife and mother of 3 (two of the children have special needs,) we have a lot to take care of. But at a certain point, I said to myself, **"You gotta invest in yourself.** **You are doing your children a favor by investing in yourself and becoming who You're supposed to be as a writer.** I learned that I definitely have a voice. ---------- That was in April's class I have something to offer and I don't have to wait for the phone to ring. I can create my own work and that is simply because I invested in myself with April's class. It is something that I DEFINITELY recommend you do for yourself. Give yourself a shot. Get empowered. Create your own work. Get some technique and some skill and get mentally prepared. All of that can happen in April's class. I am so grateful." --Ann Perry Wallace |
