Weekly private coaching group of 2-4 people

WHAT
You'll learn how to:
- Identify your emotional chord for an audition and how to use it to create a fully realized character and a solid
- Fool-proof 30 minute audition prep routine
- Deliver a competitive, truthful, moment-to-moment audition that will move you from callback queen to working actor
How Does It Work?
With guided exercises and assignments that will get you away from your desk and seeking adventures to write about, TheDreamingOutLoud WritersTechnique is a joyous celebration of everything you've learned and conquered in this lifetime. It's about learning to listen for the story your heart wants to tell and just recording what you're hearing. That's all writing is...it's simple because the story is already within you. We're just mining for that gold. April guides you every step of the way with live and recorded assignments. She will walk you through each exercise, answering questions, giving you feedback and space to do rewrites. Because the DreamUnLocked specializes in Boutique coaching, classes will always be small so there's lots of hands on attention. |
Juan Francisco Villa talks about how he went from highly trained underpaid theatre actor to a award-winning, actor/writer/producer triple threat using April's DreamingOutLoud Writer's Technique |

How do I do rewrites? |
How do I create a strong story? |
I have tiny slips of paper with ideas or stories
all over the place.
How do I put all my scenes together to create a cohesive story?
- If I write about my family,
- they will be pissed
- How do I figure out the
- psychology of the character
- so I can create realistic dialogue
- and not just talking head syndrome?
- How do I start writing?
- I'm totally blocked.
You know you're born to do solo work
and you know you have a story to tell
How do I make all the characters
including myself relatable?
Only one problem:
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START?
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START?
So what parts of you believe you're not ready or able to write a solo show?
What parts of you believe that no one will care?
Let's excavate that belief system because it's getting in your way...
What do you believe to be true about
yourself as a writer and performer?
What beliefs are you holding onto
that are no longer serving you?
How might these beliefs be
standing in the way of you starting,
writing and finishing your damn solo show?

What April's Clients are saying about joining Team April
Now, remember the laws of attraction...
what you believe is what comes to pass
what you focus is on is what you end up doing
So if your focus is on why you can't write
then guess, what?
You won't write
If your focus is on what other people will think
even before you've started writing,
then guess what
you won't write,
you'll just keep complaining about people not liking something
THAT YOU HAVEN'T EVEN WRITTEN YET
Now say that out loud 3 times and see what kind of sense that makes?
You're giving your story away before you even get started...
Focus on what you do have:
an idea.
That's all a story is...
an idea...
The answer to all of these questions before you solve a problem, you have to believe you have the power to solve a problem.
Have you done everything within your power to make yourself a viable business investment because that's what it is when an agent/manager signs you.?
So what's your focus?
What you don't have?
Or what you want?
If what you want is success, then you have to start creating opportunities for success.
Your inner reality...
or what you believe to be true in your heart
is actually what creates the outer reality
if it's strong, it will manifest a clear, confident, ready to kick ass professional who folks will want to hire.
Have you stated your intention to write a solo show publicly?
Have you created a FB Page for your show, an instagram page, a utube channel?
What are you waiting for?
You only need an idea, sharing it with the world will get you closer to the idea, plus it will give you a place to try out stories and styles of storytelling.
If not, let's work on the mindset that got you thinking you don't have the power.
Every step you take a step towards your dreams, is an act of self love
and fuel for manifesting your dreams
These are all things completely within you power to make happen...you have the power to change your outer reality...by making small changes that add up to huge progress and growth...
But first you need to believe you have to power to create forward moving change in your life.
That's what brings courage, skill, success...
actively manifesting your dreams...
Actively taking steps on your own behalf that get you closer to your dreams...
Today, we 're going to talk about the very first step
It's where it all begins....
