NEW JERUSALEM is a crime drama set primarily in Newark New Jersey and surrounding areas of Essex County NJ that deals with the unique culture, politics and history of this region.

Rashid Ali – African American male, 30-40, undercover police officer. Lead. Veteran undercover officer on a case that he does not have all of the intel on. Arrogant, sarcastic. Likes to work alone.

Loc – African American male, 25 to 35. Supporting. African American. Member of a street organization that is running guns and other illegal activity. Hot headed

Trooper – Caribbean Male, 25 to 35. Urban. Supporting. Jamaican. Member of the Jamaican Posse.

Lt. Davis – African American, Caribbean or African male. 40-50. Supporting. Veteran Police Officer Newark, NJ. Alpha male type. Likes to give orders and not be questioned.

Lt. Mathis – African American, Caribbean or African Female. 35-45. Supporting. Veteran Police Officer in East Orange, New Jersey. Strong willed, direct and very intelligent.

Malika – African American or Caribbean female. 13-18. Urban. Supporting. Rashid’s daughter. Extroverted personality, outgoing.

Big Man – Caribbean. 35-45. Leader of Jamaican Posse. Urban. Strong leader type. Supporting. Charismatic, rules with authority and intelligence. It’s a game of chess to him.

Turbo – African American male or female. 25-35. Urban. Supporting. Machete’s right hand. Turbo know’s the streets and will get things done by any means necessary.

Joey G – Italian male. 30-40. Suburban with urban attitude. Supporting. Sal Falcone’s right hand man. He can deal in the streets or in the business world.

Sal – Italian male 50-60. Suburban with urban attitude. Supporting. A powerful figure in the underground economy with friends and connections in all types of places.

Angel – Latino Male. 25-35. Urban. Supporting. Smooth operator type. Very laid back but takes care of business.

Sam – White male. 21-25. College student. Supporting. Suburban kid making money on the side to fuel his partying in between his studies.

Ron – White male 21-25. College student. Supporting. Suburban kid making money on the side to fuel his partying in between his studies.

Tic Toc – African American male 40-50 Informant. Former military veteran who got involved in the streets and was disabled in a beef with street rivals. Now owns and runs loft/club in Newark NJ.

Leviathan Lab Audition - Short Play

Seeking a Native American performer to act in a new short play by Tlingit playwright Frank Katasse for the inaugural Leviathan Lab Living Room Series to be performed in New York on December 5, 2015. Rehearsals for performance will begin November 30.

JOSEPH
(mid to late teens, Native American - can be male or female) Young and vibrant, Robert's world is shifting as his mother has remarried and as he learns more about his stepfather. A Native Alaskan living in California, he returns to Alaska for a visit with his family.
