If you want to get rid of audition jitters once and for all, try this technique that Ron Cephas Jones does masterfully

One of my all time favorite actors & human beings, The brillant one.  Use of language, watch how he uses the languages, the lifted inflection as he moves from one idea to the other so that he never drops the ball and keeps you on a tidal wave of action.  Breath, clarity....the African American Standard English is informed by the griot, the church and Jazz.  If you're dropping the ends of words, make it intentional...hit that last note like a crescendo that doesn't fall, but rather rides the next wave. 

 I often hear actors stressing about whether or not they were good in an audition giving all of their power to the auditioner instead of setting an agenda for themselves; a goal.  A goal is something completely within your power.  What if you set the intention to work the language in your next audition?

All of the nervousness would disappear because you would take the attention off of yourself and place it in doing something active and measurable in the work.  Set goals...set the craft first.  Booking the job will come once you prioritize mastering everything that is within your power: your preparation, language, use of breath, specificity in your argument.
