Why are U fighting more for ur pain than celebrating the possibilities that at ur fingertips?
How much time do u spend taking inventory of ur accomplishments?
How much time to u spend building, creating & celebrating ur dreams?
How much time do u spend reading & sharing articles
abt how someone has disrespected you or told lies abt ur people or have just been toxic in their humanity?
Go through ur journal, ur social media feeds. Take an inventory of how much of ur life is spent focusing on how the world mistreats u & urs.
What u FOCUS on
is what u CREATE
What U continually fight against is what defines
u as much as it LIMITS u
The reality is there’s racism, sexism, vile evil behavior everywhere, But none of that is more important than who u u are becoming
U don’t exist solely in spite of the bad shit
Who are you in the absence of all the bad shit going on around u?
What are u doing
the life ur having
What would it be like to
& expecting things to not work out?
What would it be like to live for u & not the struggle?
Defining urself by the struggle is safety. It allows u to remain a part of the group, it gives u a very limited purpose bec it
leaves u stuck in the struggles of ur parents
& ur ancestors
They sacrificed much so you could have access to so many tools, why aren’t u stepping into that abundance?
Why are U fighting more for your pain than celebrating the possibilities at ur fingertips?
Why do you settle for less than. That’s what u do when u focus on what the world is doing to u instead of what uv been put here to do to change the fabric of ur life?
It’s so much easier to be enraged by the world & be right in your victimhood than it is to ReWriteYourStory by focusing on the expectation of good.
I don’t allow my clients to focus on the agency that others have...that’s weak & self-destructive.
I require my clients to answer the question:
“Yes, I understand all these things are happening, but what are u doing?
Don’t tell me what the
world is doing TO u
tell me who U are
what ur DOING
That is the single most important TRUTH of ur life.
It trumps every other reality.
I challenge u to
make that ur focus
to stop urself whenever
u find ur self falling back
into defining who u
are by the limits the
world places on u
I challenge u to focus on
the expectation of good
& all of ur limitless possibiltles
Assert your light, not ur victim hood & if this is a struggle, u actually don’t need to do it alone...get in a room w/a fierce psychologist & set up a plan to start unpacking all these limiting beliefs...until u do, ur light will always shine a little less brighter
